Ben Allen – Owner of Fortec Forestry Technology Ltd.

Ben’s love for the woods began during his childhood working with his family – cutting firewood and logs by hand with the help of horses. This is a legacy established long ago by his paternal grandfather who worked as a lumber contractor and sawmill owner.

Ben began his forestry career as an employee of a local lumber company. Ben’s main responsibility was marking property lines in southern New Brunswick forests. Ben then began his own private work in the woods by cutting wood with chain saws and then selling the wood to local mills. In the early 2000’s, Ben worked as a harvester operator. In 2005, Ben incorporated Fortec Forestry Technology Ltd. Since that time, Ben’s professional focus has been to grow the business.

Fortec Forestry Technology Ltd. currently operates successfully with the hard work of 20+ employees. Fortec Forestry Technology Ltd. is a major land and stumpage purchaser in southern New Brunswick operating with a fleet of trucking, forestry and road building equipment .
